Victoria Transport Live

Trains, trams & V/Line are swept network-wide every 45 seconds (~65 routes). Buses, night buses & street-level trams are filled in per-area — zoom to street level and everything reporting nearby appears automatically. Between sweeps every vehicle is advanced along its own route — GPS vehicles at their measured speed, timetable vehicles recalculated from the schedule several times a second. Zoomed out to the whole state a train covers barely a pixel a second, so zoom in to see the motion.

Ring colour = mode; solid ring with a heading arrow = live GPS, dashed = estimated. Zoomed past metro scale, every vehicle in view shows its route path in its mode colour — solid behind the vehicle = already travelled, dotted ahead = still to come. Toggle with 〰 Paths. Tap any vehicle for its route and destination, or to track it. Use the mode chips above to filter what's swept.
